With this year’s donation, INA will finance the overhead costs of SOS houses and support programs for SOS mothers.
The donation was handed over to the national director of the SOS Children’s Village Association, Višnja Tuškan-Krupić, by the President of the INA Management Board Zsuzsanna Ortutay.
Overhead costs for two SOS houses – Trešnja in SOS Children’s Village Ladimirevci and Različak in Lekenik – including heating, water, electricity and utility fees, are now less of a concern for SOS Children’s Village Croatia. INA took care of this with its donation, and part of the funds is intended to finance the anti-stress program for 27 SOS mothers.
“Our cooperation started in 2009, it’s been 15 years now. Social responsibility is significant to us at INA. This is one of the key topics for us because our success is complete only if we share it with the community in which we operate. We admire what SOS Children’s Village Croatia is doing and we are proud that we can support children who cannot be with their biological parents. But we know that they are in great hands, and that’s why we hope that other companies and individuals will follow our example, " said Zsuzsanna Ortutay, President of the INA Management Board.
The national director of SOS Children’s Village Croatia points out that every donation is extremely important to them, but she says INA supports them in other ways as well.
“Every year employees of INA choose one child to buy a gift for Christmas or New Year. That cooperation, that jo,y and that friendship that has been nurtured for 15 years, have a value that cannot be described. As far as I know, our friends at INA are also looking forward to buying gifts. Of course, children are also happy when guests come, just like in every family” recounts Višnja Tuškan-Krupić.
In addition to the president of the INA Management Board, Zsuzsanna Ortutay, INA Management Board member Miroslav Skalicki and Tamara Karagity, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing at INA, were in Lekenik. SOS mother Ljiljana Papić hosted them in her SOS home.
The children handed the guests handmade Christmas decorations that will bring a touch of warmth and holiday spirit to the company’s business premises.
