AmCham Croatia participated from October 5 to 8 in the "2022 Best Practice Conference" of European AmChams, which took place this year in Sofia.
This traditional event is organized with the aim of exchanging best practices and discussing relevant issues related to AmCham and its members. Besides the host, AmCham Bulgaria, the participants included representatives of AmChams from 25 European countries. The representative of AmCham Croatia was Jasna Stilinović, Member Relations Manager.
On the first day of the visit, after the introductory discussion, representatives of AmCham met with H.E. Herro Mustafa, Ambassador of the United States to Bulgaria, President of AmCham Bulgaria Olivier Marquette, and Susan Danger, President of AmCham Europe and CEO of AmCham to the EU. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss specific programs and examples of good practice.
On the second day of the vice president of AmCham in Europe, Ašja Vodnik led a discussion with a comparative report on the work of AmChams. A visit to the University of Sofia and the innovation center was organized, as well as a Gala evening with the Bulgarian members of AmCham.
On the last day, the "Creative Network Award" competition was held, where the three best-nominated projects from AmCham EU, Slovenia, and Sweden were presented. Last year, AmCham Croatia won with "Boardroom Discussions", while this year the Slovenian representative was voted to be the best with the project "I'm a teacher!" The goal of the project is to support teachers, promote their work, and recognize their key role for future generations.
