The project "Start with PISAK!" marks the second phase of development of Start-up Incubator PISAK, after the successful completion of the first phase of the project in 2014 and full occupancy of existing capacities.
PISAK is the result of a desire to create an environment will enable the development of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses and ideas by offering quality mentorship, networking, and the spread of business know-how.
The project "Start with PISAK!" is 95% co-funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund with a grant of 6,533,726 Croatian kunas.
The project coordinator Applied Ceramics specializes in the production and machining of components used in the semiconductor industry. Applied Ceramics is the result of direct U.S. foreign investment in Croatia's city of Sisak from California's Silicon Valley, including transfer of knowledge and new technologies.
The project funded the renovation of 1,745 sq. meters of space spanning three floors, now available to new start-ups in the form of 32 fully equipped units. Start-ups have access to office space, production and storage modules, meeting rooms, multifunctional conference rooms, and various amenities.
Amongst these amenities is the launch of the Center for 2D and 3D Technologies, which will be available to PISAK's start-ups, significantly improving services to small and medium-sized businesses located in the incubator. Thus, in addition to offering subsidized office space for new businesses, PISAK aims to offer all necessary business services and mentorship in one place.
