The American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia has a long-standing collaboration with Katarina Ivanković Knežević, Director for Social Rights and Inclusion at the European Commission. During our recent discussion, she shared valuable insights with our business delegation regarding the priorities and future initiatives of the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion (DG EMPL). The aim of the discussion was to encourage dialogue on key economic and social issues within the European Union and their impact on the business community.
The conversation covered essential topics related to the European labor market, workforce mobility, and policies aimed at strengthening social rights in Member States. Katarina Ivanković Knežević also highlighted upcoming regulatory changes and initiatives that will affect business operations in the EU, emphasizing the importance of aligning corporate strategies with the development of social and employment policies.
This exchange of views further reaffirmed AmCham Croatia’s commitment to supporting its members in navigating the European business environment and participating in policy-making processes that contribute to a more competitive and socially responsible economy.
