Meeting with representatives of the European Commission on the topic of justice
Representatives of AmCham met with representatives of the European Commission in preparation for the Rule of Law Report for 2024.
The topics of the meeting included the situation in the areas of functioning of the judicial system, the framework for combating corruption, media pluralism and freedom of the media, and other institutional issues related to the system of checks and balances.
Additionally, there was discussion about the independence, quality, and efficiency of the judiciary in the context of investment protection.
