
Porsche Croatia joined the international efforts of the Volkswagen Group with its donation of HRK 300,000 to the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Dr. Fran Mihaljević, contributing to preventing the spread of infectious disease and saving lives.
The coronavirus pandemic is a challenge not only for businesses but also for society in general. It has hit every industry, stopping the production and sales of cars. Although the production strips do not produce the Volkswagen Group's auto parts, factories and high tech auto industry have found application in the manufacture of medical and protective equipment, essential for the fight against the virus COVID-19. In addition to making production facilities and highly specialized know-how available to all markets, the solidarity of Volkswagen Group employees contributes to addressing the spread of this contagion. The international efforts of the Volkswagen Group were joined by Porsche Croatia with their donation to in the amount of HRK 300,000 to the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Dr. Fran Mihaljević, contributing to the prevention further spreading the infectious disease and saving lives.
On that occasion, a member of the Management Board, Ivo Ivancevic, stated: “We are all in an unprecedented situation and the only thing we can do is to help everyone in their own way to resolve this crisis as quickly as possible. Our companies in Europe contribute to the markets very actively, through production and the efforts of employees. We at Porsche Croatia joined international efforts by donating funds to the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Dr. Fran Mihaljević. It is imperative that all of us have responsible behavior which contributes to the effort of all health professionals in this fight. But it is just as important to have a new time ahead after this threat, we are ready for new businesses and open doors for all our employees, customers and partners. "
Assistant Professor Marko Kutleša, Head of the Department of Intensive Care and Neuroinfectology of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases Dr. Fran Mihaljević accompanied the donation with the following statement: “We thank to Porsche Croatia on a praiseworthy donation to help us fight coronaviruses and care for all the sick from COVID-19. "
In addition to helping those who carry the brunt of the fight against the virus, Porsche Croatia can also contribute by empowering the "stay home" message through its business activities.
