Nikola Babac and Luka Cvijetić were appointed new directors at PwC Croatia, and Nikola Babac became the head of PwC's Southeast Europe team for supporting technology companies and startups.
Nikola Babac gained professional experience by advising leading companies from various sectors in Croatia and the region in all phases of business transactions, participating in some of the largest and most complex M&A transactions in Croatia. Through his work, he positioned himself as one of the key domestic financial experts in the energy sector and will continue to contribute to the energy transition of the Republic of Croatia at his new position. He will also assume the role of head of PwC's SEE team for the support to technology companies and startups.
Upon his appointment, he emphasized: "I am looking forward to the new role and the opportunity to continue to promote professional practice and, in cooperation with my teams, use my experience to make a contribution to the development of sectors that I believe form the backbone of our future economic development."
Luka Cvijetić has been acquiring local and international knowledge and experience within the PwC network since 2005, working on numerous challenging projects in the country and abroad. During his career, he has worked on numerous audit and accounting consulting projects and continues his professional development in the position of Director in the Audit and Assurance Department in PwC Croatia. He is an ACCA member and an authorized auditor at the Croatian Chamber of Auditors.
"In today's circumstances of uncertainty and change, the role of audit has additional weight and responsibility in ensuring the confidence in the quality of financial reporting of all market participants. I will continue working to achieve these goals. I am especially grateful to all the colleagues with whom I have had the privilege of working all these years, without whose support I would not be in this role," he said upon his appointment.
