Cyber Resilience & EU Policy: What Businesses Need to Know?

As digital technologies evolve rapidly, the need for stronger cyber security grows. This Working Meeting will provide an overview of EU policies shaping the cyber sector and insight into managing cyber incidents effectively.

AmCham is pleased to welcome the Advisor in the Cabinet of the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Ms. Tamara Tafra, who will deliver a presentation on key cyber security topics. A discussion with participants will follow.

Given Ms. Tafra's extensive experience and expertize in cyber policy and diplomacy, she will provide an overview of key EU legislative files and policies in the sector. Particular focus will be on the current files most relevant to businesses, including:

  • EU NIS2 Directive,
  • EU Cyber Resilience Act,
  • EU Cyber Solidarity Act.

Additionally, she will share insights into crisis management of cyber incidents, focusing on response mechanisms and resilience to cyber threats. Also, the presentation will touch upon EU funding opportunities aimed to enhance cyber security capabilities.

Ms. Tafra has over 11 years of experience working on all EU legislative acts and policies shaping cyber security. As a Minister-Counsellor for cyber issues, hybrid threats, and disinformation at the Permanent Representation of Croatia to the EU, she contributed to the work of key working bodies of the Council of the EU and chaired the Horizontal Working Party on Cyber Issues during Croatia’s EU Presidency in 2020.

In October 2024, she was appointed the Advisor in the Cabinet of the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs where she focuses on cybersecurity capacity building.

The Working Meeting will take place on Thursday, 10 April, 2024 from 10:00 until 11:30 hours at the AmCham office (Strojarska cesta 22, 10th floor).
